In our quest to fight Gender-Based Violence and trafficking in persons, the NNAD National Women Leader in the person of Fasasi Monsurat T, has attended the 2024 High-level Policy Dialogue for stakeholders and partners organized by NAPTIP as part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence(GBV).
During the event held today, 4th December 2024, at the Ladi Kwali Hall, stakeholders across the six Area Councils of the FCT have resolved to intensify advocacy, raise awareness, and ensure holistic policy implementation to address Gender-Based Violence(GBV)
Furthermore, Barr is represented by the Attorney General of the Federation. Olubunmi Uluba reassured the ministry’s commitment to justice for Gender-Based Violence (GBV) victims.
NAPTIP DG, in the person of Binta Adamu Bello, CON, didn’t leave behind; she shared inspiring achievements, including the rescue of over 23,900 victims, the establishment of 32 offices and 14 shelters, and securing convictions for traffickers and GBV perpetrators.
Needless to say, ” It’s the moral responsibility of each and every one of us to challenge the societal norms that perpetuate violence and work together to break the cycle, “she lamented.
Finally, the event was impactful, as it underscored the importance of collaboration to end GBV and support survivors.
